How do I polish wooden beads? I'm trying to polish some small wooden beads for making jewelry with varnish. The problem is how do I dry them without getting lumps of varnish? If I set them on wax paper it pools around the bottom, if I pierce and suspend them, the varnish runs down and hangs from the bottom. My 2 month old puppy swallowed a wooden bead? I'm really worried. It was ENTIRELY my fault for not monitoring him properly. It's one of those wooden beads from those bracelets that a lot of little kids are fond of. Hrm, that isn't exactly very descriptive. But I measured it and it's about a half an inch, about the size of a marble. Not those large shooters, of course... but it's pretty light and smooth, so it's possible that it'll pass without a problem. I'm still worried, though. What can I do to help my puppy? Of course, I'll bring it to the vet. But how long should I wait and monitor him before bringing him to the vet? As for behavior, I'd say he's been acting pretty normal. He's sleeping right next to me right now... This only happened about 30 minutes ago. The whole time, I've been panicking and researching like crazy... but yeah. I'm just trying to make sure. I have another bead that belongs to the same bracelet. My sister broke the bracelet beforehand and left two beads on the floor... he only ate one. I have the other. But before I started running and panicking, his mouth was moving up and down. Is it possible that he chewed it up before swallowing? But his baby teeth are still developing... but there's a chance, right? Or maybe he "tried" to chew.. The bead feels half as light as a marble.. so, yeah. Well, he is getting a bit sluggish right now... but it could just be because he's tired. He's eating normally, actually. But if he strains while pooping, there's a possibility of blockage? Fitting Glass in replacement wooden windows. Just bought a Magnet Window but beading is confusing.? There were some plastic spacers supplied with the beading.The bottom beading is meant to overhang the frame but only fits if it sits on the spacers. If this is what I am supposed to do, how do you pin the bottom beading and how do you prevent the space becoming filled with spiders. How do you put beads on the end of braided hair? When I was a little kid, Mom always braided my hair and put little wooden beads on the end of each braid. Now that I'm an adult, I figured out how to put my hair into all those tiny braids by myself, since there is no hair place around here that does ethnic hair braiding, however, I have no idea how mom got those beads on my hair. She didn't use any device or anything, but I just can't remember that part. Every time I try to put the bead on, I just can't get my hair through the small bead hole. I bought beads with the biggest holes I could find, but it isn't working. I remember she used to secure the beads on with tiny rubber bands made for hair, once the bead was on the hair, but I can't recall how she got the bead to slide onto the hair. I even tried giant craft needles, but I couldn't get the hair into the needle hole either. Has anybody ever done this? I never see ANYONE wearing braids anymore where I live.
