Annealing glass beads in home oven?
Even though a home oven doesn't reach temperatures for annealing glass, is it possible to anneal glass beads by using lower temps. and "soak" the beads for a longer period of time?

- Probably not. I think you have to start the process at a temperature beyond what a home oven can reach, and you have to have a controlled, stepped or even decrease in temp over time, which you really can't do with a home oven. There are other factors, including the overall evenness of the heat, which is generally not that good in your average kitchen oven.
- no you will break them, i suggest you find someone who will perhaps anneal a bunch at once for you, but of several i never annealed i think only 1 has broken. as long as you put them in vermiculite they should be fine.
